✦ For Schools & Educators

School kits — for every classroom,
anywhere in the world.

We believe every student deserves to learn electronics and coding with their hands. Our school kits are designed for teachers and students — whether you're in Vienna or rural Kenya.

📦 What's in every school kit

Each kit is packed with everything a student needs to build a real project from start to finish. No sourcing, no missing parts:

  • 1× Arduino Uno — the brain of every project. Beginner-friendly, well-documented, industry-standard.
  • 1× USB-A to USB-B cable — to connect the Arduino to a computer for programming.
  • Jumper wires — a full set of male-to-male, male-to-female, and female-to-female wires in multiple lengths.
  • 1× Breadboard — so students can build circuits without any soldering.
  • Components of the school's choice — see the list below.
  • Printed getting-started card — QR code to the full online guide.
  • Teacher guide & student worksheets — printed and digital versions.

🔩 Component options (school's choice)

When ordering, schools choose the components that match their curriculum. Common options include:

  • LEDs (red, green, blue, white, RGB)
  • Resistors (common values — 220Ω, 1kΩ, 10kΩ)
  • Push buttons & tactile switches
  • Temperature & humidity sensor (DHT11)
  • Soil moisture sensor
  • Ultrasonic distance sensor (HC-SR04)
  • Small OLED display (128×64)
  • Servo motor & motor driver module
  • Buzzer (active & passive)
  • Potentiometer (variable resistor)
  • IR remote & receiver
  • Relay module (for controlling larger devices)

Not sure what to choose? Just tell us your curriculum goals and we'll recommend the right mix.

💰 Pricing & access

We keep school kit pricing as low as possible so that budget is never a barrier.

  • Bulk discounts for classroom orders (10+ kits)
  • Subsidised pricing for schools with limited budgets
  • Donation programme for qualifying developing-country schools
  • NGO & charity partners welcome — reach out directly

Whether you're a well-funded school or running a coding club with no budget — message us and we'll find a way to make it work.

💻 Free laptops for developing nations 6–12 months after launch

We're working on something bigger. For schools in developing countries, we're building a programme to donate refurbished laptops to students who don't have a device to code on.

Without a computer, an Arduino kit is only half the story. Our goal is to make sure every student in our programme has both the hardware kit and a laptop to write and upload code.

This programme is still in development. We expect to launch it 6–12 months after our main Kickstarter launch. Schools in developing countries who register interest now will be first in line when it becomes available.

📦 What you get

  • Arduino Uno + USB cable per student
  • Full jumper wire set + breadboard
  • Components of your choice (see kit page)
  • Printed getting-started cards
  • Teacher guide + student worksheets
  • Access to our online curriculum

💰 Pricing

We price school kits as low as we possibly can. Bulk orders of 10+ get an automatic discount. Schools with limited budgets get subsidised pricing — just tell us your situation and we'll work something out.

🌍 Developing nations

Schools in developing countries are a priority for us. Qualifying schools receive kits at heavily subsidised or zero cost. Our laptop donation programme (launching 6–12 months after Kickstarter) will also donate refurbished laptops to students who need them.

⏱️ What happens next?

We read every registration personally and reply within a few days with pricing, options, and next steps. No automated replies — a real person from our team will get back to you.

✦ The process

What happens after
you message us?

Simple, friendly, zero gatekeeping. Here's exactly what happens.

01

You tell us what you want

"I want something that waters my plants automatically" is a perfect brief. No schematics needed — plain words work great.

02

We figure out how to build it

We pick the right tiny computer, design the circuit, and write a simple plan. We share it with you first — nothing happens until you say yes.

03

We build it and show you it working

We solder, program, and test everything. Once it works, we post it on the Varible website — completely free. You get full credit and all the code.

04

It goes live on the website

The build is posted publicly with a full write-up of how it was made. You get the code, the guide, and full credit for the idea.

✦ Drop your idea

Tell us what you want to build.

Fill this in and we'll personally read your idea. The best ones we'll build and post on the Varible website — 100% free. Not every idea gets selected, but we consider every single one.

✦ Questions we hear all the time

You have questions. We have answers.

Do I need any electronics knowledge?
+
Absolutely not. Zero. We built Varible specifically for people who have a cool idea but no idea how to make it happen. You describe what you want in plain everyday English — we handle everything techy.
What is an Arduino or ESP32?
+
Think of them as tiny, cheap computers about the size of a credit card. You can program them to control lights, motors, sensors, displays, or pretty much anything. They're the brain inside most DIY electronics projects.
How much does it cost?
+
We keep our prices as low as possible because we want electronics to be for everyone. Simple projects can cost as little as €15–30 for parts plus a small build fee. More complex devices are more, but we always give you a clear written quote before anything starts. No surprises, ever. The best ideas we receive get built and posted on the site completely free.
What if my idea is too complicated?
+
If a project turns out to be too technically complex to build reliably, we will always tell you clearly — and cancel with a 100% full refund, no questions asked. We never start work on something we're not confident about. If there's any risk, we flag it before you pay anything.
Can schools order kits?
+
Yes — school kits are something we care deeply about. We offer classroom packs with teacher guides, student worksheets, and everything a class needs. We have special bulk pricing for schools, and we specifically offer subsidised kits for schools in developing countries. Whether you're in Vienna or running a coding club in rural Kenya — message us. We'll make it work.
What is beta testing?
+
We're still early — working with our first real users to make sure everything works great before our Kickstarter launch. Beta users get direct contact with our team, early access, and lower prices. Apply below to join — we review every application personally.

Hobbyist — total beginner before the kit
★★★★★

"We described what we needed in a message. They replied with a full plan, built it, and posted the project on the website for free. Couldn't believe how smooth it was."

TK
Tom K.
Small business owner — no tech background
★★★★★

"Got the robot kit for my 14-year-old. She had never written a line of code. Now she's modifying the firmware herself and building add-ons. Best thing I've ever bought her."

RS
Reza S.
Dad — surprised by how much his daughter loved it
✦ Good to know

Honest answers to the
questions that matter most.

💰

Completely affordable — no surprises

We believe everyone should be able to build cool things, regardless of budget. The best ideas we receive get built and posted on the site completely free. Edu Kits start at just a few euros/dollars, and every custom build comes with a clear upfront quote. You'll never be surprised by a bill. Beta testers get an extra discount on top.

🛡️

If we can't build it — full refund

Sometimes a project is too technically complex or requires parts we can't source reliably. If that happens, we will always tell you clearly and cancel with a 100% full refund, no questions asked. We never start work on something we're not confident about. Our reputation matters more than any single sale.
